A lawsuit has been commenced in the Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench against the Government of Manitoba on behalf of certain pregnant women who were insured persons under The Health Services Insurance Act of Manitoba and who paid for or were indebted for an abortion services performed at a private clinic in Manitoba. This claim has recently been certified as a class action proceeding applicable to a certain class from Manitoba.
The class to which the lawsuit applies has been defined as:
- Pregnant women who were insured persons under The Health Services Insurance Act of Manitoba and who paid for or were indebted for an abortion service performed at a private clinic in Manitoba.
