Political Parties Told to Keep Federal Eelction Child Care Promises

Wednesday, July 28 2010

On July 22, 2004, Vancouver city council voted unanimously to call on Prime Minister Paul Martin and NDP leader Jack Layton to keep their federal election child care promises!

The City of Vancouver motion calls on the Greater Vancouver Regional District, the Union of BC Municipalities, and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities to pass similar motions in support of quality, regulated and affordable child care for all our children.

What can BC advocates do?

You can take the motion from the City of Vancouver to your municipal government - encourage them to adopt a similar motion.
